How the Enneagram System Works and Some Examples of Famous People Who Belong in the Type 1 Category

It is believed that everyone of us actually belongs to one of the nine personality types that is commonly known as the Enneagram, at the same time, the Enneagram is a personality typing that is solely based on these nine categories. Many individuals believe that this system is an ancient method used by earlier civilizations but some also say that it was just recently made up but whichever is true among the two theories, still, how the entire system of Enneagram works really is amazing.

We develop our personalities during the early stages of our childhood and our personality can shift swiftly, depending on how our environment comes into play and with the use of the famous enneagram types systems, these shifting methods will be easily detected and predicted.

To keep everyone on tab with the terms, the name Enneagram is formed by two separate words Ennea and Gram, which means, “nine” and “model”, respectively, hence explains why there are nine personalities to the system but the names actually are different from each other, depending on the type of teacher. The personalities are classified as types and the first on the list is the Type 1, The perfectionist or Reformer, followed by Type 2, The Giver or The Helper, third on the list is the Type 3, Performer or also called as the Achiever, and then, Type 4, The Tragic Romantic, Type 5, The Observer, Type 6, The Trooper, Type 7, The Epicure or The Dreamer, Type 8, The Boss or also known as The Confronter and the Type 9, Mediator or commonly called as The Peacemaker.

There are a lot of famous people who belong in the type 1 category and we will name some of the famous Enneagram examples, starting with Pope John Paul II, Plato, Confucius, Joan of Arc, Kate Middleton, Justice Sandra Day O’Conner, Jimmy Carter, Michelle Obama, Al Gore, Prince Charles, George Harrison, Joan Baez, Noam Chomsky, Bill Moyers and the list goes on.
